I was thinking about this, this morning! The wall of our sins is so high, so wide, there is no way we could ever break it down. It separates us from God and only He has the power and authority to destroy it, making a way back into a relationship with Him!
False religions preach about 'good works' getting us to heaven, but we could never do enough to destroy that wall of separation because for every 'good work' I expect we are committing far more sins. The Bible tells that our works are like filthy rags.
